Pregnancy Center West Adds Three Members to Board
New Board Members Bring Distinct Talents & Resource to Benefit PCW’s Mission
(Cincinnati, OH, January 25, 2018) – Pregnancy Center West (PCW) announced today that three new members were voted onto its Board at the January meeting. Mary and Mark Hennessey and Linda Maurer join PCW’s Board effective immediately.
“We’re delighted to have Mary, Mark and Linda join our efforts,” stated Lisa Smith, president of PCW’s Board. “They each bring their faith, their commitment to the pro-life cause, and their varied skills and resources to benefit our ministry.” PCW completed the first phase of a Strategic Planning process in 2017, which included an initiative to expand PCW’s Board. These new Board members are the first fruits of those efforts.
Mark and Mary Hennessey have eight children ranging from 38 to 14 years of age. Four children are married, and they have been blessed with eleven grandchildren. Mark is the Regional Vice President of Operations for Duke Realty. He studied Architecture and Civil Engineering at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Applied Science. Mark also serves on the advisory board for the Little Sisters of the Poor, and on the building and grounds committee for Presentation Ministries. Mary is currently in her 30th year as a homeschooling mom, has served as a curriculum consultant and homeschooling advisor to countless families wishing to homeschool their children and is one of the founding members of the Alice of Montbar Home Education Association. Mark and Mary are past board members of AMHEA, including serving one term as the President Couple. They are also long-term past volunteers for the Couple to Couple League. Mary enjoys genealogy and research and volunteers her skills at the Archdiocesan Archives. Both are members of Presentation Ministries.
Linda Maurer is a lifelong Catholic, attending St. Richard and St. Bernard elementary schools and McAuley High School. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati in 1988. Linda began her career as a Certified Public Accountant, serving the audit and financial consulting needs of small and large businesses along with healthcare providers and not-for-profit organizations.
